How it works
How to identify an antique from a photo
Take a photo
Use the camera or pick from your library. Add up to four more photos of the mark, the base, the back or any damage, and a short note if you know something about it.
Get the identification
Antiqly suggests the item, category, period and origin, reads maker's marks and hallmarks it can see, and rates condition and rarity.
See what it might be worth
Compare a price range from similar items currently listed for sale, check visual matches, and save the piece to your collection.
What it identifies
From grandma's china to a flea market vase
Antiqly works on most household antiques, vintage items and collectibles. Clear, well lit photos and a close-up of any mark give the best results.

Maker's marks and hallmarks
The small stamp that tells the big story
Stamps, hallmarks and signatures often decide what a piece is. Antiqly points out the mark it found, explains what it suggests and how confident it is. Add a close-up of the mark and run the analysis again for a sharper answer.

Show it from every angle
Label each photo as the mark, the base, the back or a detail. Antiqly reads them together and tells you if the photos do not seem to show the same object.

Read the story, keep the record
Each result comes with the background of the style and period, which you can read or listen to. Save pieces to your collection with your own notes and see an estimated total for everything you own. On iPhone and iPad you can export the collection as a PDF or CSV.

Spotted something on eBay or Etsy?
Right-click any picture on a shop, auction or dealer page and choose "Identify with Antiqly". A side panel shows what the item likely is, its era and origin, any visible marks and an estimated value range, without leaving the page.
Antiqly gives an AI estimate, not a professional appraisal. Price ranges come from similar items currently listed for sale, not from completed sales or auction results. For valuable pieces, insurance or legal purposes, ask a certified appraiser.
Questions
How do I identify an antique by photo?
Open Antiqly, take a clear photo of the whole piece in good light, then add close-ups of any mark, the base or the back. Antiqly suggests what the item is, its likely period and origin, and explains any mark it can read.
What is my antique worth?
Antiqly shows a price range from similar items currently listed for sale, with the median and the number of listings it is based on. It is a starting point, not an appraisal. When there is too little data, the figure is marked as an AI estimate.
What can Antiqly identify?
Porcelain, pottery, silver, glass, furniture, jewelry, coins, clocks, art and most household antiques and vintage items. Results are best with clear, well lit photos and a close-up of any mark.
